Beef Stew (Sample recipe, from page 25)
You need:
1 pound stew meat
1 medium chopped onion
1/4 cup biscuit mix
carrots
1 tsp salt
cut up potatoes
Layer in a large microwaveable bowl: 1 pound stew meat, 1
medium chopped onion, with 1/4 cup biscuit mix sprinkled over the top.
Add 1/2 cup water. Cover tightly and microwave for 6 minutes. Uncover and
stir, then recover and microwave 7 minutes. Add desired amount (maybe a
half pound) of small cut carrots, with 1 tsp salt. Recover and microwave
9 minutes. Add cut up potatoes, sprinkle lightly with salt. Re-cover
and microwave 5 minutes. Uncover and stir, then recover and microwave 5
minutes.
Serves 4.
